This Wednesday, November 4, marked the start of a new edition of the “El Lega Returns to School” project, organized by the C.D. Leganés Foundation and now in its 18th season.
“El Lega Returns to School” aims to bring the club closer to the children and youth of Leganés through the players on its men’s and women’s first teams, and to promote healthy lifestyles, the importance of a well-rounded education, and participation in sports.
During this first visit of the season, men’s first-team players Rubén Peña and Miguel Atienza, along with women’s first-team players Alicia Amezcua and Alejandra Martín, spent over an hour talking with fourth-, fifth-, and sixth-grade students at CEIP Lepanto. The students received advice from the players, had the chance to ask them about their athletic careers, and received gifts from the soccer players.
