The Ontime Butarque Stadium hosted on April 30th the fifth edition of “La biblioteca del Lega” (The Lega Library), an activity promoted by the C.D. Leganés Foundation with the aim of encouraging reading among young children.
On this occasion, the protagonists were students from CEIP Manuel Vázquez Montalbán, who experienced a very special day in the heart of the "pepinera" home, as part of the World Book Day celebrations.
The experience began from the very first moment, with the collection of the schoolchildren in the club's official bus, which transported them to Ontime Butarque. Once at the stadium, the students went on a guided tour of the facilities, discovering firsthand iconic areas and getting closer to the history of C.D. Leganés from the inside.
During the visit, the boys and girls were able to meet SuperPepino, the club's beloved mascot, and share a very special encounter with first-team players Lalo Aguilar and Rubén Pulido, who encouraged the participants to pursue their dreams and highlighted the importance of education and reading in personal development.
To top it all off, the students took part in a sports-themed short story competition under the slogan “In Leganés dreams come true,” unleashing their imagination and creativity. This initiative consolidates “La biblioteca del Lega” as a flagship activity within the social commitment of the C.D. Leganés Foundation, uniting sport and culture to continue growing alongside the educational community.
