The team will start the preseason on July 8.

C.D. Leganés already has a start date for the 2021/22 preseason. The team will return to work on Thursday, July 8 to start preparing for the new campaign, which will officially begin on the weekend of August 14-15 with the first day of LaLiga SmartBank.

After passing the pertinent examinations and medical tests prior to the start of work, the players will begin training at the Butarque Sports Facility in preparation for the start of the competition. Six friendly matches are scheduled, three of which have already been confirmed: against C.F. Talavera, on Saturday, July 24; Rayo Majadahonda, on Wednesday, July 28; and Real Madrid Castilla, on Saturday, July 31.

The other matches, with opponents yet to be confirmed, are scheduled for August 4 and 7, while the first league matchday will be played on the weekend of August 14-15.
