The pepinero academy and school spend an afternoon with the senior men's and women's team

The Cantera and Escuela C.D. Leganés players enjoyed a very special Thursday this week. First team players from the men's squad, Iván Villar and Naim García, as well as from the women's side, Patri de la Rubia and Marta Mayoral, surprised the children's session to share their experience; the whole event having been organised by Fundación C.D. Leganés.

The kids in Prebenjamín 'C' and 'B' Fundación and in benjamines 'B' and 'D' got to try their hands, or rather feet, against Iván Villar, medallist in the recent Tokyo Olympics, and Naim, a homegrown player who broke into the first team this season. Alongside these blaquiazules were the most senior pepineras, Patri and Marta, two key members of the women's team leading their division with their eyes set on promotion at the end of the season.

The little ones enjoyed some quality football and friendship with the club giants, who spent the afternoon sharing some of their footballing smarts with the keen and excited kids.
