Asier Garitano's legendary status as C.D. Léganes manager continues to grow. In a 2-1 victory over C.D. Mirandés, Garitano became the second pepinero manager, after Luis Ángel Duque, to reach this achievement in the club's 93 year history.
Asier celebrates his 100th victory in 252 official games in charge of Leganés, with a win rate of 39.7%. His first win at the club came on 25th August 2013 against Real Unión de Irún at the Butarque in another 2-1 scoreline. Garitano has 20 wins in Primera, 48 in Segunda (which makes him the manager with the most wins for the club in both divisions), 23 in Segunda División 'B' and 9 in Copa del Rey.

Along the way, Garitano's victories have taken the club to their second ever promotion to Segunda in 2014 (his own first season in charge), the historic promotion to Primera in 2016 where the club battled for three seasons and the club's first semi-final appearance in the Copa del Rey after eliminating Real Madrid in 2018, only a whisker away from a finalist position.
With his win last Sunday, Garitano makes himself the second ever manager in the club's history to win 100 games. Only Luis Ángel Duque, the coach with the highest number of games in charge (310), can celebrate this achievement with his 113 victories at the pepinero helm. The Madrileñan coach had three stretches in charge of Leganés (1989-1995, the 2005/6 season and the 2009/2010 season), including the club's first promotion to Segunda in 1993 which he defended for three seasons.
