C.D. Leganés coach Paco López appeared at a press conference on Saturday after the match between the Pepineros and Real Sociedad ‘B’ at Anoeta, corresponding to matchday 13 of LALIGA HYPERMOTION, which ended in a 2-1 home victory.
The coach assessed the match as follows:
"In the first half, we didn't play very well, they took the lead, and we managed to equalize with a good reaction. In the second half, there was no contest, we were vastly superior and had three clear chances to win the game. An unfortunate play led to a penalty against us, and before that, a very unfair decision that hurt us a lot, Melero's sending off. A first yellow card for clearly taking the ball and a second for tripping the Real player. These are decisions that have hurt us again, but we can't control them. We have no choice but to pick ourselves up. I'm proud of the team. The team's performance in the second half was enough to win the game under normal circumstances, but sometimes, even when you do everything right, you don't win. Our duty is to keep working and competing as we are doing, because this will change and we will turn it around".
