The C.D. Leganés Foundation is organizing an open-door training session at the La Cantera Municipal Facility next Thursday, October 29, at 6:50 p.m., aimed at boys and girls with intellectual disabilities who want to get to know the Genuine team and experience what it’s like to be part of it.
Currently, C.D. Leganés Genuine has a roster of 25 male and female players with intellectual disabilities.
During the season, the team participates in three different competitions. First, there is LALIGA GENUINE Moeve, a national competition that brings together teams from various Spanish professional soccer clubs and takes place in four phases throughout the season. In addition, the team participates in the new competition organized by the Royal Madrid Soccer Federation (RFFM), which consists of six matchdays spread throughout the season, and in the FEMADDI League, where it competes nearly every weekend.
To prepare for these competitions, the players train two days a week: on Tuesdays, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Ontime Butarque Stadium, and on Thursdays, from 6:50 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. at the La Cantera Municipal Facility.
With this open house, the C.D. Leganés Foundation aims to continue expanding its team and offer new players the opportunity to enjoy soccer and be part of a project committed to inclusion through sports.
Anyone interested in participating in training or receiving more information can contact the Foundation via email at fundacion@cdleganes.com.
We look forward to seeing you there!
